Sooooooo happy I completed the Challenge! Saved the best for last! This is my Art student's 100 year old Aunt with her daughter Leslie celebrating the Holidays! I'm calling it the One Hundred Year Celebration of Love.

Here is my entry for Day 29 of the January Challenge. Only one day left!!!! I have pencil in hand right now.....I think I'm gonna complete this challenge - That brings me incredible JOY!!!
I am so excited that I will have finished this entire challenge if I go 2 MORE days.......it'll be the first time I have finished one and made drawing a priority after getting home from work. I think it is now a habit.....I look forward to it! Goal accomplished!

Did this one after falling asleep on the couch, waking up later than usual and realizing I had less than an hour to sketch before getting ready for work.
Not completely happy with it...so I'll try again later this week to correct some of the features.

We're on the last 10 Days of the Challenge and I'm feeling pretty good about getting a drawing done each day for the rest of the month. There have been days when I have gotten home from work and not wanted to be creative because of exhaustion but I did the drawing in spite of that and I am so happy that I powered through.

This is Day 19 and so far I've gotten a drawing done every day! 12 Days to go, so more than half the challenge is completed and I'm feeling good.....it's great because I get home at the end of the day and immediately get my pencils out...I hope this has become a new habit for me!
I think I'll call this one "Quiet Contemplation".

Here is Day 17 of the 30 Day Challenge. This was a young model that sat for us at the Scottsdale Art School. I took some photos of her when we were on break.

Here is my drawing for Day 11. Did a profile last night....profiles can be difficult to do.......I'm not completely happy with this one..but I learned from it so that next time I can do better.......the exact reason for the challenge! :)

YIPEE!!!! Now at Day 10 - double digits and I've made it so far......been drawing every evening and I think it is now turning into a habit......I immediately get my pencils out when I get home and start drawing......can you imagine if someone drew every day what their skill level would be at the end of the year!!!
My Art teachers used to say, the 100th painting will be better than your first....keep painting! :)
